“ Absolutely amazing experience and the best thing is that it's NOT halal! Now I have a number one place to visit as I feel the food, atmosphere, welcoming owner and affordable prices with great selection to food beats any other grill! Top standards. I cannot wait to visit again. They also have this amazing must see room! So hard to find no halal establishments for those that have a dietary requirement NOT to consume halal so this is such a relief especially as it's within the town centre when you fancy a grill!! We went quite late and never got to enjoy more food as the kitchen was due to close which means we need to go again soon to try other options ”

If you’re a vegetarian who’s ever felt like an afterthought when dining out (as there’s usually hardly any options for us), then The Peg and Grill is about to become your new favourite spot!!!! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with beautiful warm, friendly service by Sudeep and his team, with a buzzing atmosphere that made the entire experience feel welcoming and relaxed. What truly set The Peg and Grill apart from other mixys/restaurant is their entirely separate and thoughtfully curated vegetarian menu, it’s just a full-on celebration of plant-based flavour without feeling like you’re missing out when you’re veggie. We came specifically for the vegetarian mixed grill and to try some fab paneer (specifically shahi paneer- we all know it’s our fave being veggie ) and it absolutely exceeded every expectation I had!! We had:- • Tandoor Quorn Chicken Tikka • Veg Chilli Chicken • Chilli Paneer • Paneer Tikka Pizza • Paneer Dosa • Chilli Chips • Dal Makhani • Shahi Paneer • Garlic Naan, Roti & Pilau Rice Sweet treats was Malai Kulfi... it was INSANE! Drinks wise we had:- • Pornstar Martini • British Flag Special • Maharani Amazing cocktails and mocktails made for us What impressed me the most was how The Peg and Grill clearly treats vegetarian cuisine with the same care and creativity as traditional grills. This wasn’t a “meatless compromise”, it was a full-on flavour experience. Absolutely exquisite! Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, a meat eater or just simply looking to try something new, The Peg and Grill honestly gives the feeling of gourmet grilling without the guilt!!! It’s bold, exciting, and refreshingly inclusive. I would 100% go again and I will be coming back!!!! Highly recommended restaurant in Birmingham, a must-visit for plant-based foodies who want to feel seen, satisfied, and spoiled. One last thing- the most special part of a meal for me personally is the hospitality and service. Having taught in hospitality previously, it was beyond my expectations to see Sudeep personally instill his accuracy to detail, pure passion and love for his customers into ensuring they leave the restaurant content and fully satisfied. It is rare you find an owner who has given such TLC to the restaurant, hats off to you Sudeep for an absolutely beautiful place- also check out the Maharaja room whilst you’re there, for any private parties, pictures are included here of it...it’s breathtaking ”

The dining experience muscled with exotic food and Royal feel of the ambience from Maharaja Ranjit Singh era filled the moments with that additional special feeling that you can’t easily get anywhere else. Service was excellent and this is real Gem of Midlands! ”
“ Amazing ambience. Great place to hang out with family and friends. They have a separate room for 15-20 people to hang out. If you are going with a group of friends/family, they have a pod to accommodate with tv and music area. Nice place to watch matches with friends and great place to have a birthday party. Food- Grill is a must try. Pizza goes well with your choice of beer. If you love Indian food, try varieties of dosa. Drinks menu is also great. Overall it’s a cozy place to spend with your friends or family members. ”
“ This restaurant is amazing. I am always very skeptical about trying out new Indian restaurants as I know I can be very fussy. However, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. I tried a mixture of starters, chilli paneer, chicken paneer and the lamb chops. I had a special lamb curry (owner’s recommendation) you can only get this if you request for it its not on the menu. I would definitely recommend it the best lamb curry I have ever had and I am not a massive lamb fan but this particular curry I was a massive fan of. The management team and staff are so nice and super friendly. The cocktails are also lovely and house made which a lot of mix grills do not offer. Very affordable prices! Overall 10/10 experience/ food. Would highly recommend. ”
“ Super great place. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Food came out so quick and was beautiful to look at - we had a boneless mixed grill (amazing) and fish pakora (amazing), cheese and garlic naan (delicious), poppadoms, and a korma dipping sauce (such a great fun option). We over ordered for 2 people... could have filled 3 people! We were in the bar area which felt super chill, perfect for a chilled Sunday night. Staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Would go again. ”
